I am getting ready to ship a Wonderbar radio off for restoration. The unit came with the car, however, the prior owner bought it second hand for the 62 and it was never installed. I was wondering what way I could identify if this is the correct radio for my 62 as I know there are some changes during the model years. I would appreciate any input that you might give before I send it off for work. Thanks as always. Eric

Re: Wonderbar identification for a 62 Puzzle
Eric, there are two versions of wonderbar for '62, Both are identifiable by the use of curved indents in the outer edge of the pushbuttons where your finger touches to change the station. The early radios (up at least thru SN 3525) mounted the transformer on the driver's side of the case. Later cars mounted this transformer on the rear of the case. Early '62 was the same as '61, later units are unique to the later '62's.Bill Clupper #618- Top
