    Headlight troubles

I have a 70 roadster, I bought a vacuum hose kit from ZIP, I put it on ( checked instructions twice ) everything seems to be in order, but every time I start the car, both headlights pop up, with the vacuum switch open or closed, does not matter. Please help. Spring is almost here & my wippers still need some work...Thanks. Vince....

    Re: Headlight troubles

Vince, Hate to say it but the problem is rarely the hoses. It is probably the check valve (little silver disk about 6inches from the vacuum plug on your intake, or it could be the headlight actuators. All these fittings need to be tested. If it makes you feel better , your problem is very common although it generally happens with the wiper door first. Check the subject on this board a few days ago by John Woods. He's the "vacuum wizard".
