I am trying to track down any information on the history of my 1969 L46. So far I have figured out that it originally came from Chicago and from the person I bought it from, that I am the third owner. Is there any sort of registry that I can research it or someone that can help please e-mail me. Thanks Member#36374

Re: Info on my 1969
Process of tracking ownership history is almost (maybe more) tedious than that of doing a correct factory restoration. It's a hit/miss process of following the ownership chain, contacting various Secy of State departments and researching their historical records (a number offer 'dead end' based on individual policy of record retention), using services like NCRS' Info Wanted ads hoping to jog the memory of a given 'key' Corvette historian....- Top

Re: Info on my 1969
Brent: Vette Vues Magazine did a lengthy article (Feb,Mar '00?)on how to do just exactly what you are wanting to do. As Jack says, with privacy laws much more restrictive, accessing public records; i.e. car titles, will be difficult now and you will encounter a few/many roadblocks along the way. But where there is a will, there is a way. Good luck!- Top

Re: Info on my 1969
If there have only been three owners including yourself, that shouldn't be too difficult. I've traced my '57 back thru 6 owners and am still only in the mid-Sixties!
Take a look at this site:
Good luck!
