    Re: Recomendations for Window Sticker

A recreation of your original window sticker is available from The National Corvette Museum -- 800-538-3883 ask for Betty -- all you need is your VIN number and a credit card.

If you are changing the configuration of your car the NCM can not help you.

I think 81 and up window stickers and build sheets are available at the National Corvette Museum's web site? (corvettemuseum.com)

Bowling Green was one of the first GM plants with an automated (i.e. computer-based) production scheduling system. They have the build data for every car built in that plant stored on their computer systems. That's why they can print the build sheets and window stickers for every car they ever built.

It's funny that the Corvette plant waited till 1981 to keep track of production records with SN. Pontiac did it back in the 60'S. They waited till the horse was long from the barn. TOO BAD. Looked at the book for all the HP options.190,190,190 &190HP. Not many choices & No Hi/PER re stamps here. Sort of like the old model T Fords. Any color as long as it was black. Corvettes had no engine options but They did have a lot of color options. Guess GM only wanted lot's of colors but no performace

Unfortunately, I have one of the lost VIN cars. I do have the information because I was able to obtain the dealers invoice using the link from a discussion in is Tech Form

Can I highjack this thread? How about a 65. Who makes the best window sticker for judging purposes? Thanks DG
