Does anybody know anything about or where you can obtain a couple quarter panel rubber grommets used in the bumper mount hole just above the park light? The original ones were mangled when I got rear ended, I've looked in all the different parts catalogs and talked to some of there sales and tech people but no ones firmiliar with these parts. I've seen the bumper paint savers(flat rubber washers) but originals were a grommet that fit in the hole in the quarter panel and had a metal bushing in the center for the bolt to pass through. Any help on this subject would be a big help, thanks. EZ2BFUN

I believe the part you seek is GM #6263571. Unfortunately, this bushing was discontinued without supercession in August, 1984. I don't think that any reproduction is available. This bushing was used for only 2 model years----1972 and 1973.
However, all may not be lost. You may be able to find a similar bushing by perusing the bushing offerings at McMaster-Carr.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

I found a rubber hose about the correct size and cut it to length. It won't have the metal insert but was the best I could come up with. The metal was real thin so I did not make the insert.
