    Early 1961 engine date

    I have a 1961 Ser.#1084 that I understand was assembled in the 1st. week of Oct. 1960. It now has a 327 but I know it should be a 283. My question is what are the earliest and the latest dates I should be looking for to start a numbers matching car. My posting yesterday said I had a 1960 car. Thanks everyboby for your help, this forum will make this project alot easier. John

      John, I have serial # 1330. The block is cast 9-16-0 and it is stamped 9-28. Heads are also cast 9-16.
