    65 Sway bar tag

There's nothing in the 65 judging guide about a tag on the sway bar.

      Re: Follow up question

The drips are heading in the right direction, and as stated I replace tags at the end of the season so they are repros. They take a beating with the driving I do from dust and grime, if you would like I can look up the order numbers in LICS cat.. Ed.

Thanks Ed. I'm just wondering if anyone happened to have an original sway bar tag from any 63-67 car. I have a great closeup picture of the sway bar on a new early production 66 chassis on the assembly line and there doesn't appear to be a tag of any kind.

Mike, since its a narrow self adhesive strip I would think it would be very rare for one to survive all these years ( you should see mine at the end of just one season ) it's such a small part i would think the only differance between a original would be perhaps the size or spacing of the letters. They are dirt cheap to buy - get one of each from LICS and look them over - once again have never lost a point but as we both know in some cases it does not mean they are correct. Ed.

                  Re: Follow up question

I agree, if there was a sticker on the sway bar of a new car, it likely wouldn't have survived for long. I worked on these cars when they were brand new but I don't remember ever having seen a sticker on the bar but that's not substantial evidence. The pic of a brand new chassis on the chassis line at the St Louis plant in late 65 may be more substantial though.

I'd still like to see even the remains of an original sticker/tag on any 63-67 car. I have to wonder where LICS found one to copy for the reproduction tag.

Or in the '66 or '67 JG's, and LICS sells sway bar tags for them too - I think LICS got the tag idea from a Service part.
