C3: Date code on 1973 L82 cylinder head

I can't figure out what that first letter is on my 1973 L82 cylinder head.
Car has an H15 build date and block is C 7 3, so I believe that letter should be an A or B.
Can anyone help? Please see pic link

Ah, the date code emboss! Well, it IS fuzzy and indistinct, but that's not uncommon for cast letters/numbers. More light would help as well as shots from slightly different angles with the valve cover removed.

Might be a fuzzy 'G' or 'C' from what I can see in this 'through the hole' pix...
