    67 A.I.R.

Does someone have the part numbers for the correct components for a 435p with A.I.R.

    Thanks

    Jeremy-----

Most of the numbers will be found in UPC K-19 of your 1967 AIM. The exception is the pump bracket. 1967's used cast iron bracket GM #3882831. This bracket is a Corvette-only piece, nearly impossible to find, and not reproduced. I believe that it's possible that very late 1967 with K-19 used fabricated steel bracket GM #3919890 which was also used for 1968-74 applications. This bracket is reproduced. In any event, even if it was never actually used for 1967, I think that this bracket will work as a functional replacement for the original bracket.

      Re: 67 A.I.R.

about 15 years ago when i was restoring my 67 435 K 19, there was someone repoping the cast iron pump bracket BUT it didn't have the GM embossed on the surface facing the right front inner wheelwell like the originals have. i helped Roby write the 67 judging manual back then and there were no thoughts on anything other than a CAST IRON pump bracket.mike

          Joe,

Are most components other than the bracket same as other GM vehicles that had A.I.R.? I was thinking that is so, but really not sure.

The diverter valve, check valves, and manifold trees are the same as other 66-67 applications with K-19. The pumps, pullies, and brackets are unique to Corvettes.

                Mike-----

I usually use the term "diverter valve" for the 66-67 mixture control valves just to avoid confusion on some folks' parts (although it actually might CREATE confusion on the part of other folks). Technically, these pieces are mixture control valves, though, just as you mentioned.

Anyway, the 66-67 mixture control valves were not unique-to-Corvette pieces. They were used for other Chevrolet applications besides Corvette. The 1966 valves, both 327 and 427, were used for trucks and passenger cars. The 1967 big block valve was used for passenger cars. The 1967 small block valve was also used for trucks. However, none of these valves were used for any other GM car besides Chevrolet.

Another point of interest is the way the diverter vaLve is mounted to the right hand side of the valve cover on a '67 BB car. I don't know if this valve cover is being reproduced or not.
