    1972 July car

I was wondering what the date code meant on my clutch fan, F2272SC? Also the number on my power brake booster, 4240 on the front and 2 165 B 9092 on the top?
    Thanks for the help.

Yes it would--ran out of fingers on one hand and got messed up in transposing to the second hand.

            Jeff,
There was a post asking about power booster a couple of weeks ago. There is nothing on it in the TIM&JG because sometimes the stamps are not visible with the booster installed.

            2 165 B 9092

My best guess/recollection is 9092 is either the model # or the last digits of the part number. 2 165 is the date code. 165th day of 1972. I hope that works for your car. I have no idea what the other numbers are.

                Re: 1972 July car

165 = June 13 for 1972, a leap year. I just got to my double secret Julian date decoder chart.

June 13 sounds pretty good for a July 11 build.
