For what its worth, I just looked VERY CLOSELY at an early '72 LT-1 that got Survivor at the last Bloomington Gold....no suffix sticker on either valve cover. No glue residue or anything to denote there ever was one on there. Didn't see the judging sheet on the car, though.

How many miles on the car?
Survivor or not, if it's got more than a few thousand miles on it I would not use one car as an example.

If any 2000 mile-or-lower LT-1s exist out there, it would be interesting to inspect them. I can't recall ever seeing one.
