C3 Shock Paint Color

I need help with the correct 1976 Shock paint color. The color described as well as the year range in the catalogs, are appear different from the color of an original 1976 I took a picture of.

Any assistance in color, and supplier would be greatly appreciated!

I really don't think that the shock paint used during the "grey" years was ever tightly controlled. In fact, the GM spec only called for a "grey" finish, without further specification. I've seen original shocks that varied from what I would call "pure gray" to those that could be described as "gray-blue". Of course, some change in paint coloration could be expected, but I've also seen this variety with NOS shocks where I would expect less color change over the years.

I think the Quanta shock paint is fine.
