I have noticed that most of the 56-57 cars I see without paint have a series of small cracks in the fiberglass. One local restorer tells me this is because of the resin mix used in those years, combined with ultraviolet light over the years.
How do you go about fixing this issue? Do you grind out each crack and put in new fiberglass? What about using a spray on gelcoat over the small cracks?
What is the best way to fix these cracks? Anything that someone should NOT do with regard to these cracks?
