Quadrajet carb color

Hello all. I am trying to recolor the body of a Rochester Quadrajet carb. Could someone post a picture of a correctly colored piece? I think the results I am getting are too much on the green side and not enough on the bronze side. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey, no green allowed.

I've seen quite a variation, from tan to almost brown, to greenish brown.
A picture of my original 72 is below.

Thanks for the piocture. Actually, from what I can see from the picture, this is very close to the color I am getting. I call this a "greenish gold". Your descriptin of "greenish brown" is right on to what I'm getting. Let's see if others have some good pictures. Thanks.

Without sounding too funny, check e-bay as it has tons of pics, and Custom Rebuilt Carbs' site for pictures of more restored carbs.

Thanks very much for the pictures. This is a big help. This is pretty much the color I am getting so I must be on the right track. I really appreciate how helpful everyon on the board is.
