327 -375 F.I. Safety Valve

I have a 64 F.I. car and I understand that there is a safety valve or control that you can get to protect the engine from fuel back feeding?
Can someone explain this to me, and how it works, and where do you install this control? Thanks in advance.

I installed one of these valves in a '58 fuel car.It is a small solenoid valve that is instlled in the fuel supply line under the air plenum.It is tied into the ignition so that it opens when the ignition is turned on and closes when the ignition is turned off.I purchased the alve from Bill Krynen in Woodstock, Ontario, Canada, phone (519) 537-3809 about 10 years ago. Larry,
These anti syphon valves are a good idea and a must for any F.I. car. They're sold as a kit by John Degregory and other F.I. guys. You can also make one your self but the kit isn't that expensive and goes right together on the unit. Do it! Rich

You should have two of them built in on your unit. The check ball in the fuel meter and one in the fuel spider. As long as they work, you shouldn't have any problem.
