    Rear bearing grease C3

I'm installing new rear bearings and noticed that the originals were packed with a substantially thicker grease than the Valvoline that I purchased. What do you guys recommend for rear bearings?

    Mike-----

It just appeared thick because most of the oil was gone leaving behind the soap. In any event, I use Valvoline synthetic grease. You can also use GM #12377985. This is the grease that supercedes the grease that GM originally specified. However, I still prefer the Valvoline over this.

      Thanks Joe,

That's exactly what I purchased, Valvoline synthetic. I thought the thick consistancy of the old had something to do with old age, but wanted to be sure. Thanks for the input.
