Hi all,
I'm looking to find the standard steel wheels for my 64 Corvette and found a set locally advertised as off of a 64 Corvette, but they have tires mounted on them. I know there is a Kelsey Hayes stamp on the middle of the wheel, with a date code, but are there any markings obvious with the tire mounted to indicate on a steel wheel if it is Kelsey Hayes? I believe the wheels have the two nubs by the air stem and will check for these, but anything else apparent or do I have to have a tire taken off? For 63 and 64, the wheels are for drum brakes, so anything to distinguish this type of wheel from later wheels? Were there other types of stock steel wheels other than Kelsey Hayes?
Thanks in advance,
Lawrence
