All,

Has anyone heard when the new TIM&JG will be available and how much it will cost? When at Olde Towne, we were told by Roy that it was close to being sent to the printer, would be around 240 pages and would have pictures. Did not hear a price mentioned.

BTW - NCRS store still shows Edition 4 at $40.00 still available.

I was told it is 3-4 weeks from mailing. Believe the price is $40 since the old one used to be $30, but I may be wrong. They are taking orders today.

still don't see where you can order Edition 5 at the NCRS store here on the website? Edition 4 is still listed - so, are you saying the only way to order the new Edition 5 is if I call Gary and then he will take my ducats and should be mailed in 4-5 weeks?

I ordered a JG about a month ago, not realizing there was a new one and was in print. They did not send me the old one. I got a card saying it was a new version and would be "?" when delivered. Still waiting.

I'd be careful on availability assumptions. It's one thing for a new revision JG to have completed its re-write, review/acceptance process, and being setup for printing versus being released for shipment...

Often, past policy has been NOT to release new JG editions prior to the completion of the upcoming NCRS National Convention. I believe the rationale for this is to prevent complaint(s) from members pursuing multi-year awards (e.g. Mark of Excellence) who might perceive the rules changed on them without sufficient time to read/understand at the '11th hour' of their campaign efforts...

It's probably worth a phone call/e-mail to Cincinnatti to confirm the 5th Edition of the 1963-64 JG has actually been released for shipment before assuming released for printing = released for sale/shipment...

Update...

I exchanged email with Eric Mortimer today. They are INDEED planning to ship 5th Edition '63-64 JG books prior to the National Convention! Eric estimated the book would be ready to start rolling out the door in 2-3 weeks...
