    1971 Seat Belt Number

My seat belts in my 71 small block convertible have the following number:

    45 E 70

I believe this is the 45th week of 1970 (approx November of 1970)? Is this correct? Also, what does the "E" represent?

    Thanks,
    Greg

    Supposedly that is Friday.

Another theory is that the letter identifies the supplier's line/department the belts were made in.

John's theory is the one in the latest 1970-72 JG. No one seems to remember where the one that E equals Friday originated. It was in several earlier editions of the JG.
