Magazines for the troops

There was an earlier thread here about the need for car magazines by the troops in the combat zones. Some have found their way to the war zones. This thread on The Corvette Forum mentions one of our frequent posters.
For those of you who haven't yet cleaned out your old magazines the address to send them to is in the linked thread on this post.

Our chapter sent a box of magazines in November. We have received a message that they were laid out on a table for anyone to pick up and most were gone within a few days. It is so little that we can do.

I sent two 15 pound packages off just one week ago today. I also sent a letter to Marc Picollo asking him to confirm that the address was a good one to use for future packages and to find out just how much longer the address would be good. Today I received an e-mail from Marc confirming the address and the fact that he will be returning home about mid-February. So, he provided another addressee to use after that time. Actually, I was amazed that the packages got to Afghanistan in just one week. I sent them Priority Mail.

One week is a very good time, considering a Christmas card mailed in Chicago on December 18 reached me January 2.
