Eastwood Clear Zinc Aerosol Paint

Hi
Has any body used Eastwood Clear Zinc Aerosol paint to touch up zinc parts and how dose it look or recommend something else.

I've used it as a touch-up. In a very thin coat(dusted on) it can disguise a small flaw. In a thicker coat it looks like a really good zinc paint. You don't get a sense that it's a plated metal part.

Alan,

I too have been looking at the Eastwood products and was wondering if you had any comments on their metal blackening, diamond clear, or chassis black.
I was considering these but would like any comments or recommendations from anyone that has experience with these products or similar ones. Thanks,

I used Eastwood diamond clear satin finish two years ago and it still looks great.

Their chassis black and underhood black are both good products. Krylon dull aluminum dusted on lightly can also be used to touch up a zinc part at less than half the price of the Eastwood product.

I've had decent success with their metal blackening liquid on nuts and bolts, but instead of using their sealer after the blackening, I soak the bolts in WD40. For any thing larger than these parts, or those exposed to the elements, I would have them actually refinished with black zinc, or oxide. There's a company at 1-800-BLACKIT for that.
