I have read all of the archive discussions for a 1967 Corvette BB hood stripe layout. All of the posted links to pictures have been lost over time. I'm in the process of painting a big block hood this coming week and need to lay out the stinger stripe. I have the AIM measurements. The discussions in the archives have left me more confused since I can't view what was being referenced. Can someone please provide me with some pictures or drawings of the correct stripe width on the hood itself? I'm building a judged car so I really want to get this right. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: 67 BB hood stripe layout
Here are my photos and suggested layout procedure. I agree the AIM is confusing. By installing the hood and aligning you will have a smooth transistion across the gap between the valence and hood. The dimension on the valence is slightly narrower than that on the hood due to the transistion across the gap. Many stripes are misaligned in this area because they didn't install the hood to layout the stripe.
