    1966 Brake Caliphers

When replacing the caliphers on my Corvette, should I keep the old ones if I want my car to be considered a "survivor"?

If there original to the car I would have them SS sleeved, rebuilt and put back on. If not original I wouldn't worry about it. I would just exchange them for SS set.

      Mike and Jim-----

If ALL of the caliper half casting numbers begin with "546", the calipers are likely original to the car and it would be a good idea to keep them with the car. If you have them rebuilt as-original, they will be more expensive to have done than later calipers, primarily because of the cost of the pistons.

If any of the caliper halves have casting numbers beginning with "545" or "547", they are not original to the car.
