Can You ID this Seat Belt Buckle??

    Hi,

I don't see these in my 61-62 JG, and my 58-60 JG doesn't have pictures, and my 63-64 JG is still on backorder(argh), and no pics in Noland's C1 or C2 books I can find. His C2 book pg 199 says '63s were stamped "Model IC 5000", '64s "...8000" but both 63 & 64 had the bowtie on top right?.............So,

Anyone know if these are for Corvette? If so what year(s)?

    Happy New Year........
    Thanks,
    Rich

    Hi Rich:

I'm sure someone who knows for sure will chime in, but I can say they are not for a 63.63's had no bowtie on the buckle. 64's did. These look similar to a 63 style, but the stampings on the back don't appear to be correct. I can't quite make out what they say, but they are sure not like the ones in my 63. Best of luck. Happy New Year.

Since the bid is only $20 on E-Bay I would guess they are not Corvette seat buckles. I've never seen this type before, but there is a seat belt book for sale on E-Bay also!

Hi Guys, Thanks Tom for the ref to yours. Terry, I thought the same thing, but you never know about the snipers.

I didn't think they were the real thing. I sent the seller a ? about describing the printing and symbols on the back. We'll see. Maybe I'd be better off investing in that book. I know they're for sale here in the book dept too.

        Thanks for the info!

ps In the garage today here in FL with the door closed tinking on the 63, and oh yea, detailing the 59 for the Regionals........a rainy cool day. Getting cold tonight, in the upper 30's after the front comes down this far. Hope all you folks in the NE are inside. Looks nasty up there according to the WC radar.
