i would like to know if anyone can help me with a problem on an 81 vette. i bought the car as a basket case completely torn apart with boxes upon boxes of parts. I am having trouble trying to find where some of these parts go, and was wondering the best books on restoring and 81 vette. i have a few, an 81 assembly manual, a chiltons 63-83 book, and a chiltons #28500 63-82 repair manual. all are helpful but i was wondering if anyone knows of any other manuals or reference material i could get to help me out. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know of any book to help other than what you have, but I do have an '81 in the garage that has been 90% apart at different times, so if you post pictures of the parts you need identified, I can probably help. -

I did not see the 81 Corvette shop manual at the NCRS store, however it is still available from Helm Inc. This could be of help to you.Comment

Hi Ray,
If you haven't listed your car on the L81 Registry yet we would like to hear about it. There is a short survey we use to aquire as much L81 data as possible and also a lot of 1981 specific info on the site.
