The check at the bottom was accompanied by a $2k check from the loan, as well as title to this beauty:
Remember closing on the loan on a Friday, and making the trade on the following Monday at the AAA office in Scranton, PA. Can you imagine a car loan payment of $105.68 a month. But that was when we were making $800 a month total.
So if anyone ever runs into Don Paulino at a Renault show with a fully restored Renault 10, you can tell him that you know the original owner.
