    C1 '58 Bellhousing date verses engine stamping

    Could a bellhousing have casting date after the stamping date on the engine pad (i.e. 4 days after)? My assumption is no since the bellhousing was installed on the engine when it was painted. Thanks in advance.

      Ted -

      An original bellhousing will always have a casting date prior to the stamped engine assembly date.
