Tach fairing/filled tach hole on 57 Airbox car

It will be interesting to see if NCRS accepts or rejects this as a St. Louis, factory delivered configuration.

If it is accepted by NCRS as a St. Louis built car, then why was John Neas SR1 not accepted as a factory built car?

Even if NCRS does not recognize it's origin. If there is evidence to support it, I wouldn't care, if it were my historical vehicle. I doubt that it will reduce the historical value of the car anyway.

What a nice piece of corvette history.
        Just my two cents.

          Re: 1956 SR1's

Mr. Carr bought one of four brand new 1956 SR1 Corvettes delivered to Dick Doane Chevrolet.

He was having his 1954 Corvette serviced at Dick Doane when the 1956 SR1's arrived.

Mr. Carr owned Ferrari's, Porsches and other high quality cars throughout his life.

I spoke with him a couple years ago. I believe he was about 92 at that time and living in Florida. His son lives in Chicago.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, I wonder why John's "substantial documentation" was not acceptable?
