53-55 Temp gage

I'm looking at the Fifth Edition of the JM for 53-55 under Temperature Sending Unit saying there is a logo saying (AC Delco Made in USA) is stamped on the boss.
I have NOS temp unit , also my 55's and it has no logo. I never have seen a logo on any 53 to 55 Corvette. Why ?? Are they thinking 56 up which does have it on it's side. Who wrote that?

the JM is incorrect on the 53-55 sending unit. it describes a 56 up sending unit. mike
