61,62? 63-67 tail lights (solid axle Help)

There is a set of NOS tail lights on e-bay for 63-67 corvette. My question is will they fit 61,62 corvette? I have been told they won't. but I don't know why not. Arn't the rear sections of the solid axle cars the same as the midyears? Thanks for your help. Bruce

They will not fit! the rear panels are different and the bezal on the 61/62 light is flat. The 63/67 has a rounded edge.
