My 74 has the correct "7044206" carb on it. The question I have is regarding the 2 other stampings below that number. Can anyone tell me what the "E4" (is this a adte code) and "FA" signify? THANKS....Marty

The "E4" is, indeed, a date code. It denotes April, 1974. The "FA" is a broadcast code assigned to this carburetor part number. It helped assembly line works more quickly ID a carburetor. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Joe,
Isn't "E4" denoting May as the 5th month?
