distributor main shaft part numbers

my understanding is that gm made 2 main shafts for c2 and c3 cars with the tach drive. Corvette central shows the hp and the standard. can somebody (JOE LUCIA can you help me) give me the gm part numbers for both shafts. i have a guy that has one of each for sale with the following part numbers and i want to make sure they are corret, otherwise i will order the hp version from corvette central, part numbers are as folllows:

800476 HP
1851625 regular

GM originally manufactured WAY more than 2 distributor mainshaft part numbers. Basically, the shafts were pretty much the same; the difference is in the attached auto cam which is one of the elements of the centrifugal advance system.

The distributor shafts you mentioned are not for the 1971 LS-6 application. They are used as follows:

GM #800476= 69-70 L-46 except TI

GM #1851625= 1971-72 base engine

Part numbers for the distributor main shaft for 1971 LS-6 distributors were as follows:

GM #1851423-----w/manual trans

GM #1851221-----w/THM-400

NONE of the original GM distributor mainshafts with exactly original configuration auto-cams are reproduced, The 2 that are available from most of the suppliers are, basically, a "two-sizes-fit-all" sort of thing.
