I've been researching information to find out what is the correct exhaust system for a 1958, 245 HP engine. I think it is round mufflers, no crossover pipe. ??? Also, the car is Serial number 934, so it is early. Has a 3750556 RH manifold dated J7, so it is probably right. The left hand is a 3733975, a 1957 manifold. The only number/letter I can make out on it is an 8. Most likely not original?

Dennis, there are many small detail items that are very different on an early 58. Such as generator mounting bracket, heat shield for it, types of pulleys and offset for fan belt. Does your right hand engine mount have a 'dented in' appearence? They are very different from later 58's! Let me know some details and perhaps I can help. I owned 58 VIN 297 and it was very unique!
