Yes my 58 has all the legal papers for the frame no. and reassigned no. but now that they are the same and all legal can I put an original type tag on the door jamb with the correct no. and take the reassigned no. off with out any problems but still keep the assigned no. just in case? The nos. would be the same anyway as on the title. thanks again Brad.

Yes J58S101925 on green and silver tag about the same size as original. Brad Aberdeen Wash. Thank you Dennis.

Some years ago I bought a 65 that was a theft recovery with no serial #. Engine & frame #'s matched. I had to have a police check. I had to have a noterised letter from them before I could get a repo GM tag. I assume that is still the way it is. I can tell you where I got mine if you want call 260 927 6891
