Lower Radiator Hose

Anyone have any tips on replacing the lower radiator hose on a '60 with the copper radiator and 3 piece shroud? My lower hose was apparently not tightened properly when it was apart at the paint shop. When it warmed up the lower hose popped off. I can't even see the radiator outlet with the shroud in place. Is there a way to access the hose connection with the shroud in place? I'd like to avoid pulling it and any resulting scratches. If you know the trick for this I'd be grateful.

Dave,
You can spend a lot of time trying to re install the lower hose without pulling the shroud but in the long run your better off biting the bullet and removing the shroud to install it correctly. Rich # 2276

Dave: Don't fight it! Remove the fan to get it out of the way. Remove the three screws holding the lower shroud halves together. Remove the two bolts holding the right half to the frame and slide the shroud half over. Install the hose. Make sure that the tightening screw of the hose clamp is aligned with the cutout window in the shroud so that the hose connection can be checked occasionally. Hope this helps.
