1967 SB Shroud

Hi Gang, I know this has been discussed several times, However, My unrestored 1967 shroud was painted in a earlier time. When I stripped the paint off the fiberglass was more medium/lighter gray than dark gray or black. When I looked at other SB cars at various events the shrouds all seemed to be painted or black out, some way more than others. Can anyone clear up the finish, the black out, the dark or light gray fiberglass etc. As far as I know the shroud is original

Tom ---- After the black fiberglass is cleaned, it appears nearly medium gray. It could be very lightly clear coated with non-glossy laquer to return it to a black appearance. Some judges may catch it and deduct a point or two.
