evap box interchange

I have a 1976 A/C car and previous owner butchered the evaporator box that attaches to the engine compartment firewall. I have located an evap box from a 1974 A/C car and was wondering if this is a direct interchange. If not, what years if any beside 1976 will interchange? Thanks, Craig
