GF-432 Replacement

I have a '68 that's for the most part my daily driver. It has the GF-432 fuel filter and I'd like to install a new filter. Any suggestions? I've seen an alternative setup in either the Zip or Paragon catalogs, but I've read they don't fit well, require slightly bending fuel lines, etc.

The AC-GF-432 remains available. However, the current version of it is configured differently than the originals. Specifically, it is of somewhat larger diameter and a little bit shorter in length. It also has a stainless steel shell in contrast to the zinc-plated steel of the originals. So, the current replacement will not fit in the original GF-432 bracket. Otherwise, the fuel line to the carb should fit alright since the centerline and position of the fuel-filter mounted outlet fitting remain the same. The line from the fuel pump to the filter might have to be bent up slightly to accomodate the filter's slightly shorter length. The real problem is the bracket. For a driver I would suggest obtaining a reproduction bracket from Dr. Rebuild and modifying it to accept the current filter.

Dr. Rebuild has the ORIGINAL filter and the correct bracket.
I also have a 68 coupe and was looking for the same part. Kurt #26406
