I am looking on moving a car from Kansas to Ohio....I would like to hire a good quality low cost reputable person or company to do it. I have to pay someone, because I don't have the spare time to do it myself. Does anyone have a recommendation? Any ideas or options to consider?

When I looked into it several years ago the rates varied from carrier to carrier. I don't remember a per mile rate. Rates also vary is open versus closed trailers and if you want pick-up and drop-off at your door. Some carriers have terminals and if you bring the car there the savings were somewhere around $100 - $200.
If you want to know the rate it is easiest just to call them or go to their website.Comment

I just had a car delivered by InterCity Lines and was very pleased with the service. My driver was Roger and he took good care of my ride. Call 1-800-221-3936 and ask for Mike. Tell him Wayne Kindschy gave you his name.Comment

Waiting for correct info before giving response.
Talked to transport company today. (autobohn transport out of Chicago.) Cost is 1090.00 from 100 miles south west of chicago to Watertown new york. 900-1000 miles.However it will take 5-10 days. It would cost 2800 if I wanted a dedicated carrier and I could get it in 2 days. Cost seems good to me as it would take me 4 days to go and get it and bring it back ---gobs of gas and iffy at this time of year.
The hard part now is the waitComment

Just shipped a car from California to Texas with Tommy. He only has a two car enclosed trailer so you car gets there when promised. Very professional and very reliable. May be a little higher than the "milk run" carriers but you pay for what you get.Comment
