My question is where can I find an "accurate" factory Bryar Blue paint swatch? My 72 is just about ready for color, the shop will be using BC/CC.I understand that the flake size along with the finish will not be a perfect factory match. However I have nothing to compare the color to? I've only seen the color twice at last years regional in Boston, one original paint and one that had been repainted, they were quite different. TIA Kevin

Re: 72 Bryar Blue
Kevin,
I do not have an original swatch from a '72 but I may have the next best thing. Back in '73 I painted my '67 Bryer blue. I still have some of the lucite paint that I used and a piece of fiberglass from that paint job. Might get you close to what you want if you can't find an original car to reference.- Top

Re: 72 Bryar Blue
This web site has factory paint color plates on-line:
Huge supplier of Automotive Paint, Auto Body Supplies, Airbrush Equipment, Car Detailing Supplies, Pinstripe Paint, Spray Guns & Safety Respirators at Wholesale Prices. Our items are factory direct and we carry a wide variety of Top Quality Brands.
But, you're dealing with a scan of AGED original paint chips, so take it for what it's worth. Even finding an original book (they come up from time to time on eBay, Etc.) only skirts the one issue of the chips being scanned...you still have to deal with them being +30 years old!- Top
