    C-3, Trico wiper blade holders

Well, thanks to this Tech Board I learned that C-3 wiper arms are unique to Corvettes but what about the Trico wiper blade holders? It seems like I saw several different vehicles with them. Would '68-'72 Corvette Trico wiper blade holders be different than passenger cars of the same era?

    Thanks,
    Scott

Scot - They should be the same basic configuration if the passenger cars used the 16" holder with the side pin connector into the center of the holder. Original holders were stamped with TRICO and under that MADE IN USA on both ends. Original Corvette holders were black as was the metal vertebra or spline of the refill. Generally, SERVICE replacement holders are not black but have the brushed finish. Pete

        Hi Pete:
Any pictures? I could use correct ones too and I need to go junk yarding soon.

          They're out there...

look at cars in the yards with small/narrow windshields (like Nova) for better odds at snaring a correct set for yourself. This eBay auction has a nice comparison picture showing the difference between the upper bridge geometry of factory original Trico blades holders vs. current Trico service replacements...

              Great ebay seller, too.
              I've purchased from him previously.

                  Thanks...

for the 'plug', Pat. But, it's inappropriate...

I posted the link NOT to 'drum' but to educate so the poster could go to the scrap yard and find his own part vs. pay 'robber baron' prices on eBay! Since I don't believe in posting pix until NCRS includes them with archived posts, the eBay route was a 'simple' way to show the pictorial.

You didn't have to say anything, you know. It wasn't I who may have revealed the seller.

Also, it would have been easier to post the ebay picture without the auction link if there was the nexcessity of posting a picture, and therefore absolve anyone of "guilt" in posting to an ebay auction.

I'm not sure how linking to the picture on an auction is somehow "different" than linking to an offsite hosted picture but I'll let you internally debate the semantics of that one.
