C1 Spiral Shocks 5352225

Does any know what shock number 5352225 was used for? They appear to be dated in '55.

For these on-shock stamped part numbers I usually have no luck in identifying them and this one is no exception. The problem is that SERVICE part numbers differ from the numbers on the shock (including the ones in the box with most SERVICE part numbers on the box). I only have cross-reference information for a relatively small number of on-shock stamped part numbers. Complicating it even more is that there is an absolute PLETHORA of shock part numbers; just an immense number of numbers. Complicating it more yet is the fact that the vast majority of shock part numbers, on-shock or on-box, are Delco part numbers. So, these numbers could apply to any GM vehicle, not just Chevrolet. However, the Delco numbers are usually very car-line and chassis-specific.

In any event, I can tell you that the GM #5352225 is a very old number. It's definitely from a 1955 and/or previous era application as you've inferred from the date on the shock.
