70 LT1 rfi shield?

i have a 70 lt1 that has the later style shielding. the book shows all standard distributors have the rfi shield in the distributor. does the later lt1 with a ti distributor and later version shelding need the rfi sheld on the distributor? the car does have a radio.

If you are talking about the RFI shield which is INTERNAL to the distributor cap, TI distributors never had this shield. Its use was limited to cars with breaker point-type distributors.
