    Re: GPS Systems

John, If you wanna a really neat Garmin and want to spend the extra bucks here is one for you. Garmin NUVI personal travel.$399. It fold up flat and will fit in your coat pocket. You can use it while walking to find a street address. Also since it is a slim portable and not the typical bulkly Garmin there is less chance of a thief breaking into your car to get the GPS. Those GPS gadgets are the #1 stolen thing in the country right now. If a thief even sees the marks on your windshild from the suction cups he make break in looking for it.
My sister always lent me her cheaper Garmin that had some pads on it so you could lay in on the dash. But recently I watched a commercial onShop NBC that was pushing this portable Garmin. Well I watched it for about a 1/2 hour, then went on line to check it out even further and finally bought it. That was last week and it hasn't arrived yet. When it comes in I'll give you a full report. It's more than a GPS. It's like ON Star and GPS combined. You can make hotel reservations, ask for directions to the nearest gas station, make phone calls, and do most anything imaginable. List price was well over $600.00 but I paid $395.00 plus 12.99 shipping and in 5 easy payments via AMX it's mine. John

Is That The Same Lowrance That...

Out on the lake, will tell you where the fish are hanging out, how deep they are, and recommend a lure to try?

Better yet, I just click the auto-fish button and wait for it to row back in with the catch. Very handy on rainy days.

Next model up also has an auto-clean and cook button. $5 more ($5.50US)

I got the Nuvi 350 for I think under $300 and I love it. It has the "text to speech" option (turn left on mains st)as it is more helpful than just "turn left".
