    C1 WIPER CABLES

    Hi -

Can any one share some tips with me. I am refitting a stock wiper system to my vehicle. What order should be cables be fixed to the main spindle under the actual motor? There are 4 slots in the spindle but I am unsure of the order the cable from the left and right transmission should be inserted.

How do you tension the cables.

Help would be greatly appreciated as I understand the stock system is very awkward.

    Thanks,

    Mark

additionally, the C1 NCRS CD-ROM has several excellent articles on "how to" the wiper tranmission cables. I soaked each of the wiper arms in Kroil arm to make sure they would push in easily to release the tension on the cable drums. Also, don't put much dumb-dumb underneath the under dash flanges as the clearance to get the wiper bezel nut tightened on is/can be very limited. It will take 2 people to do the cables. The person under the dash needs to wear gloves and have patience. Good luck, Gary....
