    C3 engine compartment

Is there a source for correct photos of a 1972 350 engine compartment? I am going to spend time this winter going through mine. I try to print off pictures when I see them, but wondered if there was a better source of known originals.
    Thanks
    Jeff

The book by M. F. Dobbins has a photos of known originals granted they or not in color but they have a lot of information in them.

Dobbins books are a very good resource, but not everything in every picture is 100% original. There is no substitute for doing ones own research by examining and photographing a number of pronounced original cars at meets, and asking questions of the owners. Even at that, there are items which may not be original on individual BowTie or Survivor cars. Knowing the judging rules -- what the entry level is for those awards, and examining a number of those cars will allow one to eventually separate the wheat from the chaff. Unfortunately, I know of no cliff notes for this process. All that said, Dobbing books are a lot less expensive, and quicker than traveling the country -- although a whole lot less fun.

BTW: There were two 350 engines in 1972 and details will vary for each, not to mention which options (PS, PB, AC, not ot mention early and late water pumps and electrical wiring in front of the radiator) are involved. If you share exactly what you are looking for, some folks might have a helpful photograph or two in their library.

          Hmmm.

Know of any good 72 engine pictures hanging around the forum?

Dad got an elk, I didn't.
Never got close enough to a bull to try.

              Great vacation, though.
My next vacation appears to be the day after Thanksgiving in Bowling Green, KY.
