Estate Auction may be of Interest

The National Corvette Museum has been made aware of an estate auction that may have rare and collectible Corvettes, memorabilia, sought after parts that can be used for restoration and many other vehicles and motorcycles near Tulsa, OK. We do not have a lot of information on the auction except for a link below. We do know that this auction company may sell boxes/crates full of items well below what they are valued. If you are a collector or live in the area check out the link for more information.

Some of the items include VIN#00011 1965 Corvette, a 2000 Coupe with less than 21,000 miles, a 1996 Corvette with less than 4,000 miles, 2 1973 Stingrays, 2 1972 Stingrays, a 1974, 1976 and a 1980 Corvette, Several L88 heads, transmissions, carburetors, chrome bumpers, Corvette body parts, t-tops, rear ends and it looks like a lot more.

Check out the following link for more information and feel free to pass this email onto folks that may be interested.

The '65 definitely looks like it's in need of restoration. Too bad they don't have more photos in there. Can't tell how much is needed to bring the old girl back to life. I guess you'd need to drive to Tulsa to find out.

Looks like some of those were rode hard and put away wet! Talk about abused and neglected.

Pantera? Great car, lousy example here.

I knew Larry Clain, the owner, died of a heart attack about a year ago. There is LOTS of "stuff". This is the stuff I posted about a year ago about the Balwin Motion Corvette that is missing, along with a 69 race car, another 69 and an open wheel race car. All are still missing.

Not all of the Corvettes are part of his estate, like the later models.
The C3s are not worth the effort. Two set outside his shop for 20 years or so. The other C3s are very ragged. You would have to really want a car to bother with them unless they are really cheap. I will describe them as "just old cars". Nothing special and in bad condition.

The 65 may be worth restoring. Nassau blue, small block, 4-speed, convertible, both tops (hard top is in a different building). Appears to be complete, could not check any numbers.

Titles for all cars are court issued. The real titles are missing. I think the same people who got the missing cars have the titles.

The BB aluminum heads are all dated 73 and later. Two sets of small block aluminum heads, one aftermarket, one GM pair.

LOTS of other miscellaneous parts, some aftermarket, some GM, some worth having. I plan to attend the auction and will try to buy some of the stuff. Depends on who shows up and how bad they want something.

There is a midyear partial body. Firewall back, no VIN tag, partial front clip cut across the middle of the side vents, no frame. Front frame clip with suspension, been hit and bent. Full frame, no suspension, 74 or later.

Pallets of: trailing arms, differentials, transmissions, wheels, misc parts.
66 hubcaps, 65 hubcaps, trim rings, derby caps, 67 caps.

As I said, LOTS of stuff. That building is about 40 X 80 and most of the floor space is taken up by pallets with things on them.
