1970 lug wrench

the lug wrench/ jack handle is missing on my 70. the book does not say much about it. what am i looking for? what years did it fit? date code or part number?

GM #3898172. Used for all 1967 through 1982 Corvettes, although there may be slight "nuance" differences over the years. It has a stamped steel, "U"-profile handle and a pivoting, forged steel wrench end. There are no part numbers anywhere on the wrench. Painted semi-gloss black. End of the handle has a "blade-like" tab used for removing wheel covers or hub caps.

Isn't there also a rubber piece on the wrench end to prevent rattling?

Yes, there is a rubber bumper which surrounds the wrench head. GM #3872965---still available from GM.
