I have a 300 HP 63. It had a 65 Carb on it and whenever the car was running warm-hot (After maybe 30-45 minutes of continuess operation) the gas pedal would stick at about 1500 RPM but would "easily" kick down with the slightest kick of the pedal. I replaced the card with an original rebuilt carb and when it was being replaced, the (roughly half inch thick) bakealight spacer was found to be cracked quite bad and we kinda figured it prevented a vacuum from occurring thus causing the pedal to stick. We also checked the accelerator assembly through the fire wall and replaced the return spring. Everything seems to be fine. But now with all that done, the NEW carb sticks exactly the same way. After 30-45 minutes of continuess operation, it stays at about 1500 rpm EVERY time I take my foot off the gas.
