I need to paint my oil filler tube and I would like to find a recommended brand and part number for Argent Silver. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Ford has an excellent argent spray paint, D7AZ-19000-A. -

Ashley, The argent silver oil filler tube is a controversial subject. The word argent silver is also a loosely used term. One time I bought every brand of argent silver that was made. Well not one of them had any hint or tinge of green.
Also I have had my share of NOS FI oil filler tubes. Only have one now. No sign of any green. But over the years the gas and oil stains made the silver paint green so the excepted color of those tubes today is silver green or green silver. Whatever. To prove this if you have an old oil filler tube around sand the "green" and you will see that it's silver underneath.Plain old silver paint.
But you have to go with the flow so here is how I please the judges and car owners now.
Go to CarQuest and buy a small spray can(6oz) of Plasti-Kote GM 7203. Dead nuts silver green. I think it was an old Buick color. Nice hint of green. Been using it for quite a while now. Before this discovery I used to custom mix by the seat of my pants-no formula-just dumping paint and the color was too dark of a green. Getting a little old now so I am intent of sharing some of my secrets as I want to help. But let me repeat this statement. There wasn't any hint of a green on the oil filler tubes when these cars came down the assembly line. JDComment
